Transfer Students

 

General Information

Any student-athlete who has attended a high school other than LA High (whether you played a sport or not), must complete transfer paperwork with the Athletic Director and be cleared by the CIF LA City Section office prior to participation in an athletic contest.

 

Transferring from one school to another may affect a student's athletic eligibility. Transfer students must see the Athletic Director (Rm. 412) and submit forms to this office. Also, if you are coming from a school outside of LAUSD, you will need to submit "official" transcripts to the school counseling department (these will need to be uploaded by the counselors prior to any other actions for athletic eligibility).

Forms

Please see the link below for any and all forms you will need from the Section Office. It would be wise to check with the Athletic Director prior to filling-out a form to ensure it is the correct one.

 
 
Status Checker / Appeals

It is possible to track the progress of your paperwork once the Athletic Director has submitted it. LA High will submit the paperwork, your previous school(s) will be required to respond, the CIF-LA City Section confirms or denies the application. In case of a denial, an appeal process is possible.
