September

 Meet with your academic counselor to make sure you’re on track to graduate

 Request Transcript, Check your Credits, GPA and College Eligibility

 Plan to retake any A – G course without a “C” or better

 Create final College list of schools in which you will apply and gather information about each

 Complete College Essay Questions and Personal Insight Questions (UC Applicants)

 Complete your Brag Sheet

 Begin UC Application (*3.0 Cumulative GPA Required)

 Add college list to Naviance

 If using Common Application, link it to your Naviance Account

 Stay connected with the College Center. Receive updates regarding fieldtrips, college rep            visits, scholarships and more. Text 81010 and type the following code @2020lah

 Apply for College Fly in Programs

 Register for SAT/ACT if necessary

 

October

 CSU Application Window opens.  Begin CSU application. (*2.0 Cumulative GPA Required)

 Using your Brag Sheet, request a letter of recommendation from a teacher and counselor   (*give teacher or counselor at least 2 weeks notice)

 Obtain a PIN at www.pin.ed.gov in preparation for your FAFSA/Dream Act Application

 Begin your FAFSA/Dream Act at the start of the Oct 1^st window.

 Continue Applying for Scholarships

 

November

 Complete CSU and UC application by Nov 30^th Deadline

 Begin Private Applications and Early Action Applications by Priority Deadlines

 

December

 Complete College Portal Account of each schools in which you applied

 Send official test scores to all colleges in which you applied

 Send transcripts to all colleges in which you applied

 Complete private applications by deadlines

 Continue to check emails and complete tasks assigned by the colleges in which you applied

 

January

 Complete your College Portal Tasks

 Receive assistance understanding your Financial Award and comparing packages    

 Complete Community College Application

 

February

 Complete Portal Tasks and submit required documents

 

March

 Complete College Portal Tasks

 Complete FAFSA/Dream Act by March 2^nd Priority Deadline

 

April

 Decide where you want to attend school and arrange visit

 

May

 Return award letters and send Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) along with any required    deposits by May 1st

 

June

 Submit Transcript Request Form to College Counselor in order to inform where to send final transcripts
