CAHSEE - Testing Tuesday March 17th!

Los Angeles High School will be administering the California High School Exit Exam otherwise known as CAHSEE on Tuesday, March 17th and Wednesday, March 18th to all 10th grade students, and some 11th and 12th graders in designated locations. Summonses were given to students today. This is an important test which must be passed by students in order to obtain a High School Diploma.
Please be sure your student gets a good night’s sleep and arrives to school on time. Romans this is your chance to shine and the LAHS community is proud of your achievement.

Girls Water Polo Qualifies for Division I CIF-LA Playoffs...

We would like to send out congratulations to Coach Edward Lee, Coach Belsy Monzon and the Girls Water Polo Team for qualifying for the 2014-15 Playoffs.

This is just the third year in existence for Girls Water Polo at Los Angeles HS. The team has improved leaps and bounds thanks to the hard work and dedication of the athletes, and
Coach Lee and Coach Monzon. In just 2 1/2 short years, their record has improved from 0-7-1 in 2012-13, 1-7 in 2014-14…. To 7-4 in 2014-15 (and a playoff birth!!!)

Our Lady Romans received a #13 seed and will traveling to take on #4 seed Birmingham High School on Friday February 13th @ 3pm.

SIG Credit Recovery and Tutoring Program

The School Improvement Grant (SIG) Credit Recovery and Tutoring Program for Spring Semester 2015 is from February 9, 2015 to May 15, 2015.
We will offer A through G requirement Fall 2014 classes (e.g. English 9A, Algebra 1A, Chemistry A, etc.) and Tutoring.

In an unprecedented effort led by a team of African-American business leaders in New York, organizations across the U.S. coordinated a massive national campaign to find African-American business leaders to underwrite free admission to the Golden Globe-nominated film “SELMA” for students around the country. 10th & 11th graders can show Student ID or report card at any of the Los Angeles locations for free admittance WHILE TICKETS LAST.
