Welcome to ASB Leadership!

A strong Student Government (SG) will make Los Angeles High School a stronger institution. An evolved SG can help our school recruit new students, retain existing students, and improve student and alumni involvement.

In short, a healthy SG directly leads to a healthier school and a better experience for all of your fellow students. That's why LAHS supports the development of all leadership organizations on campus. A strong, effective, efficient, and competent student voice is critical to the overall health of any institution.

Leadership is a group of students, from all grade levels, that work together to better our school and make sure that a student voice and perspective is provided in all school affairs. Leadership members get involved in school wide activities and key school issues. They serve on school councils, plan school dances/lunch activities, and even make periodic presentations to the School Board of LAUSD.

Leadership has its own class during the day to take care of business and two teacher advisors. Any student can be a part of the Leadership class once a student has gone through the official admittance process, which takes place in the Spring. Also, those students who win positions in our Student Body Elections become permanent members of our class for the whole year. Our elections take place in the Spring as well and below is a list of all the school positions each track has that one can run for.
