Hello Roman family,

On March 13, 2020, our school closed it's doors to students in order to protect them from the Coronavirus pandemic. On Monday, March 16 teachers opened their computers to support students in a new virtual class setting, called Distance Learning. Counselors, teachers and staff came together and distributed over 300 laptops to students in the last couple of weeks. In this unknown time we are working hard and giving our best to teach your students, provide Counseling support, provide mental health resources and to keep you informed.

Please know that although we are not physically at the school, we are virtually here for you and your students. Teachers have attended countless hours of Professional Development learning to support your children and provide them with the same quality of instruction using Distance Learning. The school year is far from over. The expectations are still the same for ALL of our Roman students. Attend classes and complete assignments. Teachers are providing Direct Instruction using ZOOM and Schoology. All current students have access to the platforms using their Mymail accounts. Parents, you have access to communicate with teachers using the Parent Portal.

Our new website is updated daily to reflect the new virtual Los Angeles Senior High School. Contact information, resources, calendar of events and daily updates can be found on www.lahigh.org

We will have our first virtual Lunch with the Principal, Tuesday, April 14 from 12-1 pm using ZOOM (details will be updated at a later time).

As always, I have an open door/computer policy. Do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns at marguerette.baptiste@lausd.net

Thank You
