What is Teen Court?
L.A. High’s Teen Court
Teen Court will be held AFTER SCHOOL in Memorial Hall the dates listed below. Real Juvenile Court cases will be heard with Judge S. Kleifield & Judge G. Feuer presiding.
LA High students can serve as Jurors, Court Clerks, Bailiffs, Interpreters, or Spectators. The LA High community is welcome to observe Teen Court sessions AFTER SCHOOL.
Student Jurors must attend training before they can serve.
TEEN COURT TRAINING SESSIONS
EVERY WEDNESDAY AT AFTER SCHOOL IN MEMORIAL HALL
All LA High students are welcome!!! Learn about the Justice System and Restorative Justice! Meet real lawyers! Be mentored by law students! Maybe you’d like to be a police/corrections officer, a probation officer, a court clerk, a bailiff, a judge, or an attorney. If so, Teen Court is for you!
If you would like to learn more, see Ms. Taylor in Room 208 or Mr. Salinas in Room 250.
Teen Court Law Club
Participating students can receive Service Learning Credit and clear up Attendance/Detention issues.
