Welcome!

I'm so excited to start my educator journey here at LA High. I'm originally from Oklahoma but spent my formative years living outside of the United States (Puerto Rico, The Bahamas, and Singapore). I hightailed it back to the United States for my undergrad where I attended the University of Oklahoma and received a BA in Film and Media Studies. I have been in Los Angeles for 14 years and worked in the entertainment industry before making my move into teaching and getting my credential at Cal State LA. My goal as a teacher is to get my students to fall in love with reading and strengthen their writing skills.

 

When I'm not in school, I can be found working on my next writing project, dominating an escape room, challenging my loved ones to a board game, deep in a streaming binge, or hanging out with my pup, Lulu.
